IRIB, the public broadcast organization of Iran, awarded Thum + Mahr's office in Teheran with their first major SI contract.

The first phase will include 5 digital recording studios. All of them will use the Soundtracs/Digico DS-3 with 40 input channels. Monitoring will be Genelec 1031, microphones will include Neumann U87 and Sennheiser MKH-Series.

For recording and editing SADIE Series 5 workstations and Radar24 96kHz of iZ-Technology have been choosen. Last not least the contract includes one classic analogue studio with a Studer A827 "/24 track tape machine and the analogue Octagon recoding console of Dutch manufcaturer D+R.
