Hessischer Rundfunk, Kassel
New regional broadcasting house for north-eastern region of HR contracted to T+M
The implementation of the new all digital broadcasting house includes the delivery of DHD on air mixing consoles. The outboard equipment reads like the who is who of the broadcast industry. The software used for the digital delivery system is Management Data's D’accord. It runs a total of 15 audio-workstations .
The site installation consists of:
one on air studio with DHD RM 3200 D console
one announcer booth
one DJ cubicle with DHD RM 3200 D console
one editor workplace with ProTools (and Control-24 Remote-control)
one editor workplace with DHD RM 3200 D console
The central master control with its twelve 19" racks holds amongst others all DHD central crates. All consoles interconnect over a fiber MADI network.
4 additional workplaces for editorial work are equipped with Yellowec Intellimix. A major benefit of the Intellimix is its capability to integrate with the DHD central switchers. This way, sources from the core switches can be accessed over the source selectors of Intellimix with no need for external xy-controllers.
Implementation: April 2001 through November 2001
